About the Role
Major accountabilities but not limited to:
- Build a strong team and provide the leadership and motivation necessary to retain, develop and attract high talent employees. Provide development opportunities for employees so that they may achieve a high level of competence, are motivated, and carry out their duties in a safe and compliant manner
- Responsible for day-to-day management and performance of Materials Purchasing, Site Manufacturing E2E Planning, Value Stream, Global Logistics & Order Management, and Warehousing and Aph & Pack activities
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to Manufacturing and finished goods shipments to patients on-time and in-full.
- Ensure workplace safety and implementation of and compliance with Novartis policies and procedures, strategy, and global standards.
- Provide leadership, direction and coordination for supply chain planning activities that will support global S&OP inventory targets and plans.
- Support and manage Supply Chain cost center budget to ensure site financial targets are achieved.
- Identify and implement supply chain optimization projects to improve efficiencies, cost-effectiveness, and/or customer service.
- Translate corporate goals into functional area objectives while establishing processes and systems to achieve them.
- Develop and track key metrics related to the health of the SC organization as well as drive continuous improvement strategies.
- Manage escalations related to supply or material issues.
- Ensures supply risk management and mitigation plans are in place for identified brands in accordance with Global BC plans and in alignment with global, regional and local stakeholders.
- Support clinical tech transfers to the site for cell therapy pipeline including direct materials enrollment, BOM creation, and direct materials sourcing.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years leadership experience in supply chain or Head of Supply Chain Unit (pharmaceuticals or FMCGs).
- ERP / SAP system savvy
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Collaborative working style.
- Shipments to Sites of Care OTIF
- Strong reporting experience

- Inventory Accuracy and Cycle Count Accuracy
- Cost Center Budget Adherence
- Expired and Obsolete write-offs
- Months On-Hand Inventory versus Safety Stock levels.

Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $138,600 and $257,400 per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
